  • Myosotis arvensis (L.) Hill – Field Forget-me-not - Annual, biennial, Perennial. Sea coasts, as a weed in vegetable gardens and near buildings; rare.

According to the classification system used here, Scrophulariaceae is a paraphyletic taxon. In many modern classification systems, genera, which were traditionally placed in Scrophulariaceae, have been transferred to several other families

  • Pedicularis palustris L. – Marsh Lousewort - Annual, biennial, perennial. Bogs, wet seashore meadows; often.

Genus Rhinanthus L. – Rattle

  • Rhinanthus minor L. – Yellow Rattle - Annual. On the supralittoral; common.
  • Rhinanthus serotinus (Schönh.) Oborny [Rh. angustifolius C. C. Gmel.; Rh. vernalis (Zing.) Schischk. et Serg.] – Late-flowering Yellow Rattle - Annual. Along sea shore in the supralittoral zone, on upland meadows; often.

  • Veronica longifolia L. – Long-Leaved Speedwell - Perennial. Supralittoral; common.
  • (+)($)Veronica serpyllifolia L. – Thyme-leaved Speedwell - Perennial. On a wet area along the road of the WSBS settlement.

  • Hippuris vulgaris L. – Common Mare's tail - Between stones in the brook flowing from the Nizhnee Ershovskoe Lake Ershov.

Genus Plantago L. – plantain

  • (#)Plantago cornuti Gouan – Cornut's plantain - Perennial. Collected by В. Н. Вехов in 1974, on the dry seashore meadow in the Ermolinskaya Inlet. The species spreads in salinated areas in central and southern areas of European Russia, at the south of Western Europe, in Anatolia, and towards the east reaches Mongolia. The nearest findings – vicinity of Rostov Velikiy (Yaroslavl region). Probably, introduced by birds.
  • (+)Plantago major L. – Greater Plantain, Common Plantain - Perennial. At the WSBS settlement: near buildings, on the sea shore at the pier; dominant.
  • Plantago maritima L. – П. приморский. Perennial. On the upper littoral; common, very rare – on the supralittoral.

Genus Pinguicula L. – butterwort

  • Pinguicola villosa L. – Hairy Butterwort - Perennial. On hammocks in sphagnum bogs; rare (might be poorly visible).
  • Pinguicola vulgaris L. – Common Butterwort - Perennial. On bogs, in moss pads on rocks, near brooks; often.

Genus Utricularia L. – bladderwort

  • Utricularia intermedia Hayne – Flatleaf bladderwort - Perennial. Bogs, brooks, near lake shores озер; common.
  • Utricularia minor L. – Lesser bladderwort - Perennial. In hollows of sphagnum bogs and grassy bogs; often.
  • Utricularia vulgaris L. – Common Bladderwort - Perennial. In lakes; quite often. Blooming plants not recorded.

  • (+)Betonica officinalis L. [Stachys officinalis (L.) Trevisan] – Purple Betony - Perennial. In the clear birch forest near the Verkhneye Ershovskoe lake.

  • Galeopsis bifida Boenn. – Annual. A weed in vegetable gardens, supralittoral; quite often. Found near the destroyed barracks at the Ershovskie lakes. G. ladanum L., reported for the Kindo peninsula, refers to this species.

  • (+)(#)Glechoma hederacea L. – Ground-ivy, gill-over-the-ground, Creeping Charlie. - Perennial. On an upland meadow near the Ershovskie lakes.

Genus Prunella L. – self-heal, heal-all

  • (+)Prunella vulgaris L. – common selfheal, heal-all, heart-of-the-earth - Perennial. In a damp birch forest along the coast of the Ermolinskaya Inlet.

Genus Scutellaria L. – skullcap

  • Scutellaria galericulata L. – Common Skullcap - Perennial. In bushes along the brook banks at the Ermolinskaya Inlet.

Genus Stachys L. – Woundwort

  • (+)($)Stachys palustris L. – Marsh Woundwort, Marsh Hedgenettle - Perennial. Found one non-blooming plant near the stable at the WSBS settlement.

Genus Thymus L. – thyme

  • Thymus serpyllum L. (Th. subarcticus Klok. et Schost.) – Breckland Thyme, Wild Thyme, Creeping Thyme – Subshrub. Undershrub. Bare dry rocks; quite rare.
