Family Orchidaceae Juss. – Orchid family

Genus Calypso Salisb. – Calypso orchid

  • Calypso bulbosa (L.) Oakes – Calypso orchid, Fairy slipper, Venus's slipper - Perennial. In green-moss pine forests; quite often. By the end of June, fades and becomes poorly visibile.

Genus Coeloglossum C. Hartm. – Frog Orchid

  • Coeloglossum viride (L.) C. Hartm. – Frog Orchid, Long-Bracted Green Orchid - Perennial. Only in the wet motley grass forest near the Eremeevsky porog rapids.

Genus Corallorhiza Châtel. – Coralroot

  • Corallorhiza trifida Châtel. – early coralroot, northern coralroot, or yellow coralroot - Perennial. On bogs and in boggy forests, on damp rocks; rare. Many amateurs take this species mistakenly for another orchid – Epipogium aphyllum (F. W. Schmidt) Sw., the Ghost Orchid (Perennial.), that also exists on the Kindo peninsula (see below).

Genus Cypripedium L. – Lady's-Slipper

  • Cypripedium calceolus L. – Yellow Lady's-Slipper, Woodpecker nuksack - Perennial. In green-moss pine forests; rare.

Genus Dactylorhiza Necker ex Nevski – Dactylorhiza

  • Dactylorhiza fuchsii (Druce) Soó s.l. – Common Spotted-orchid - Perennial. On bogs and in boggy forests; often. Л. В. Аверьянов, looking through the samples from the Kindo peninsula in 1998, identified all samples as microspecies D. hebridensis (Wilmott) Aver.
  • Dactylorhiza incarnata (L.) Soó (O. latifolia auct. non L.) – Early Marsh Orchid - Perennial. Sedge and sedge-sphagnum bogs, near brooks; rare.
  • Dactylorhiza maculata (L.) Soó s. l. – Heath Spotted Orchid, Moorland Spotted Orchid - Perennial. Bogs and wet forests; often. Л. В. Аверьянов, looking through the samples from the Kindo peninsula in 1984, identified a microspecies D. elodes (Griseb.) Aver.
  • Dactylorhiza traunsteineri (Saut.) Soó s. l. – Narrow-leaved Marsh Orchid, Traunstein's Dactylorhiza - Perennial. On bogs; very rare. М. Г. Вахрамеева identified our samples as subsp. curvifolia (Nyl.) Soó.

D. fuchsii, D. maculata and D. Traunsteineri, and several other taxa form a complex taxonomic group; hey are connected by transitional forms.

Genus Epipogium J.G.Gmel. ex Borkh - Ghost Orchid

  • Epipogium aphyllum (F.W.Schmidt) Sw. - Ghost Orchid

Rare. Juvenile underground speciments were find on the Kindo peninsula by T. Vinogradova (Vinogradova T.N. 2007. Notes of finding of Epipogium aphyllum (F.W. Schmidt) Sw. (Orchidaceae). Bulletin of Moscow Society of Naturalists. Biological Series. V. 112, is. 4, pp. 71-73). Genus Goodyera R. Br. – Goodyera

  • Goodyera repens (L.) R. Br. – creeping lady's tresses, dwarf rattlesnake plantain, lesser rattlesnake plantain. - Perennial. In green-moss pine forests; common.

Genus Gymnadenia R. Br. – Gymnadenia

  • Gymnadenia conopsea (L.) R. Br. – Gymnadenia conopsea - Perennial. Bog edges, wet forests; very rare.

Genus Hammarbya O. Kuntze – Hammarbya

  • Hammarbya paludosa (L.) O. Kuntze – Bog Orchid, Bog Adder's-mouth, Bog Adder's-mouth Orchid - Perennial. Sphagnum bogs; often. Из-за малых размеров легко просматривается.

Genus Listera R. Br. – twayblades

  • Listera cordata (L.) R. Br. – Lesser Twayblade - Perennial. Wet and marshy forests; quite often.

Genus Platanthera L. C. Rich. – Platanthera

  • Maianthemum bifolium (L.) F. W. Schmidt – False lily of the valley, May lily - Perennial. In forests and bushes; common.
