Family Papaveraceae Juss. – the poppy family
Genus Papaver L. – Poppy
- +$ Papaver nudicaule L. – Iceland Poppy. Perennial. Grown as an ornamental plant at the WSBS settlement, sometimes grows as a weed. Listing P. radicatum Rottb. for the Kindo peninsula, refers to this species.
Family Ranunculaceae Juss. – buttercup or crowfoot family
Genus Actaea L. – baneberry or bugbane
- Actaea erythrocarpa Fisch. – Red Baneberry. Perennial. Spruce forests; very rare.
- Actaea spicata L. – Baneberry, Herb Christopher. Perennial. Wet forests; very rare, but more often than the previous species.
Genus Caltha L. - Marigold
- Caltha palustris L. – Kingcup, Marsh Marigold. Perennial. A glade near the Verkhneye Ershovskoe lake and a wet birch forest in the square 2.
Genus Delphinium L. – Larkspur
- +$ Delphinium alpinum Waldst. et Kit. – Candle Larkspur, Alpine Larkspur. Perennial. Grown as an ornamental plant at the WSBS settlement, and sometimes is found as a weed.
Genus Ranunculus L. – buttercup
- Ranunculus acris L. s. str. – Meadow buttercup. Perennial. Glades near the Ershovskie lakes, near buildings of the WSBS settlement; common. The plant collected at the edge of a sphagnum bog to the south-west of the Kindo peninsula, identified by Н. Н. Цвелев as R. acris L. s. str. R. subborealis Tzvel. Typical R. subborealis has not been reported in our area, though findings of this species on the Kindo peninsula are quite possible.
- Ranunculus lapponicus L. [Coptidium lapponicum (L.) Á. et D. Löve ex Tzvel.] – Lapland buttercup. Perennial. boggy spruce forests; rare.
- +# Ranunculus sceleratus L. – Celery-leaved buttercup. Annual plant. Collected once in a pothole with water near the WSBS settlement.
- Ranunculus polyanthemos L. – Multiflowered Buttercup. Perennial. Supralittoral, seashore dry rocks; common.
- Ranunculus repens L. – Creeping buttercup. Perennial. At the WSBS settlement and in glades near the Ershovskie lakes; often.
Genus Trollius L. – globeflower
- + Trollius europaeus L. – Globe-flower. Perennial. On an overgrown upland meadow near the Verkhneye Ershovskoe lake, also at the WSBS settlement.
