  • Aegolius funereus (Linnaeus 1758) - Tengmalm's Owl – rare, nests - Воронецкий, 1988.

Genus Asio Brisson 1760

  • Asio flammeus (Pontoppidan 1763) - Short-eared Owl - rare, nests. March, 31, 2015 a male cried near WSBS.
  • Asio otus L. 1758 - Long-eared owl. - At the area covered by the Catalogue is absent. The first close encountering - in the village Kovda in 2019 (I.Panov).

  • Bubo bubo (Linnaeus 1758) – Eurasian Eagle-owl – very rare - Воронецкий, 1988.

  • Glaucidium passerinum (Linnaeus 1758) – Eurasian Pygmy-owl – rare, last years is common, possible nests. In the Chernaya reka village in autumn 1-5 individuals entrapped annually.

Genus Nyctea Stephens 1825

  • Nyctea scandiaca (Linnaeus 1758) - Snowy Owl - rare, rare visits in summer - Благосклонов, 1960; own data.

Genus Strix Linnaeus 1758

  • Strix aluco Linnaeus 1758 – Tawny Owl or Brown Owl – rare; the species was listed in the Catalogue based on survey data (Воронецкий, 1988), but there is no convincing evidence of the species' presence on the Kindo Peninsula and in its environs.
  • Strix nebulosa J. R. Forster 1772 – Great Grey Owl or Lapland Owl – rare – encoutered in the village of Chernaya Reka (Voronetsky, 1988); in August 2025 a feather of a migratory bird was found by P.V. Kvartalnov near Lake Kislo-Sladkoe.
  • Strix uralensis Pallas 1771 - Ural Owl - rare, nests - Благосклонов, 1960.

Genus Sturia Duméril 1806

  • Surnia ulula (Linnaeus 1758) - Northern Hawk Owl – rare, nests, stays through winter.
