  • Hyalodiscus radiatus (O’Meara) Grunow – marine, littoral; fouling; sporadic (Бондарчук, 1970). Marine; planktonic (Конопля, 1974).
  • Hyalodiscus scoticus (Kützing) Grunow – marine, littoral; fouling; not rare, everywhere (Бондарчук, 1970; intraspecific taxa: H. scoticus f. remotus Korotk. – not rare, together with type variation). Marine; planktonic (Конопля, 1974).
  • Hyalodiscus subtilis J. W. Bailey – marine; fouling; not often (Бондарчук, 1970).

Genus Podosira C. G. Ehrenberg

  • Podosira hormoides (Montagne) Kützing var. hormoides – marine, littoral; fouling; not many, everywhere (Бондарчук, 1970; intraspecific taxa: P. hormoides var. adriatica Grunow – together with type variation, in some places not rare; P. hormoides var. arctica Cleve – sporadic). Marine; planktonic (Конопля, 1974).
  • Podosira stelligera (Bailey) A.Mann, 1907 - marine, planktonic. In semi-isloated coastal stratified lake Kislo-Sladkoe at a depth of 0 to 2–2.5 m (Mindolina et al., 2023).

  • Melosira italica (Ehrenberg) Kützing subsp. italica – marine, littoral; everywhere, common (Бондарчук, 1970).
  • Melosira italica (Ehrenberg) Kützing subsp. subarctica O.F. Müller – freshwater; periphyton (Dressler, 2003: Aulacoseira subarctica (O. Müller) Haworth).
